Job Description
The purpose of the Export Container Scheduler role is to take the overall responsibility of the planning, scheduling and operational service delivery on a daily basis, to ensure container availability and demand is balanced regionally. This includes safety, compliance, and exception management.
It is a permanent position, full time basis working Monday to Friday for standard business hours, 8:30am – 5pm. As this is an operational role there will be times when additional work outside of the standard working hours is required to complete the requirements of this role.
About what you will be doing:
Execution of day-to-day operational service, procedures and processes to ensure efficient pick-up and delivery of containers, to meet agreed DIFOT
Daily scheduling and execution of domestic, import and export container movements and supply for Coda Intermodal customers
Working with shipping partners to manage container releases so that transport partners can collect containers as required.
Investigate and respond to email and phone enquires
Accurate and timely invoicing of all trips
Reporting and recording for KPI’s
Continuous improvement
Health and safety accountability
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years of work experience in New Zealand Supply Chain environment, in either a planning or scheduling position, with container operations experience
A comprehensive knowledge and working experience of New Zealand’s current transport and supply chain environment.
Microsoft Office Suite competency, especially Excel and Outlook
High attention to detail and great communication skills
Experienced in customer service delivery and optimisation
